Sophie Cunningham’s first season with the Indiana Fever did not end in the way that she would’ve liked.

Cunningham tore her MCL, which caused her to miss the remainder of the season for the Fever, who went deep into the playoffs.

After colliding with Sun guard Bria Hartley on the injury-causing play, Cunningham had to be helped off the floor in the win over the Sun. It was a moment where Hartley caught major backlash for appearing to smile at seeing Cunningham hurt.

These days, when she is not dancing in a robe on TikTok, she is trying to make it through life without any issues. Unfortunately, we all have our bad days.

On Tuesday, Sophie Cunningham took to social media to share that not only was her car completely dead, and she was waiting for Triple-A, but she also locked herself out of her home.

“My car has been completely dead,” she said. “I’ve been waiting on AAA to get here for like the past hour (and) fifteen, hour (and) thirty minutes. They keep saying they’re going to be here in 10 minutes. Not true.

“And then, I’m locked out of my house. Have a great Tuesday?”

The Indiana Fever Must Bring Back Sophie Cunningham

Guard Sophie Cunningham tore the MCL in her right knee during a game against the Connecticut Sun in August, which ended her 2025 season. She will recover, but the question now is, when she makes her return to the court, will it be with the Fever?

Cunningham signed a one-year deal with Indiana for the 2025 season and will be an unrestricted free agent in 2026.

When healthy, though, Cunningham was a key contributor as a part-time starter for the Fever in a strong debut campaign with her new team. The seven-year veteran spent her first six seasons with Phoenix after being drafted No. 13 overall in 2019.

She averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists across 30 games and 13 starts.

Cunningham has become a fan favorite ever since she put a player in a headlock to take up for Caitlin Clark.

The team must make bringing her back a priority.
