Jemele Hill’s time at ESPN had its ups and downs.

The former analyst for The Worldwide Leader in Sports worked under the same exec Pat McAfee famously claimed tried sabotaging his show.

That exec, Norby Williams, is no longer with the network. According to Hill, he tried to remove the color from a popular show while she was there.

Williams left ESPN after McAfee’s claims, though it’s been reported that his departure was not the former NFL kicker’s doing. However, he did not mention the host or address his claims in the letter he wrote expressing gratitude to his colleagues on his way out.

Speaking during an interview on ‘The Rick Strom Show,’ Hill claimed Williams also tried sabotaging her in an attempt to “de-blackify” the ‘SC6’ show she hosted with Michael Smith.

“It just seemed very intentional and purposeful that he wanted to make SportsCenter great again,” she said (H/T The Daily Mail).

She claimed that Norby removed photos of track stars Tommie Smith and John Carlos’ “Black Power” salute at the 1968 Olympics from the set. He’s said to have removed images of Smith and Hill with former United States President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, and also got rid of intro music from DJ Jazzy Jeff.

Jemele Hill was eventually suspended for calling Donald Trump a racist and left ESPN a year later. She’s now a columnist for The Atlantic and the host of multiple podcasts.
