She stole the spotlight from the team.

The summer might not be here just yet, but another Summer is certainly shining bright with the Savannah Bananas. She is going viral on social media this week for her newest job.

Karyn Best-Balgaard, her real name, debuted in this role at Petco Park during the team’s unique Banana Ball show. The Savannah Bananas have been selling out stadiums for years now. A full crowd filled Raymond James Stadium in 2025 just to watch one of their games. Raymond James Stadium has a capacity of 65,000, but can be expanded to 75,000.

Their electrifying games prove how popular the team has become after being founded in 2016. They decided to add to the popularity with their newest addition.

The Savannah Bananas Introduce Summer From WWE

Summer from the WWE was hired as a lifeguard/acrobat for the Coconuts, a team in the Savannah Bananas organization. Her first game was on March 21, 2026, during a matchup against the Savannah Bananas.

She sported a white and teal lifeguard outfit as she delivered several photos at the ballpark. The most notable picture was of her doing a split.

The former WWE performer previously went by the name Summer Sorrell.

As for her wrestling career, Best-Balgaard was released due to a persistent injury that kept her from competing. She confirmed her departure on social media and has since moved on.

Speaking with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Best revealed that a back injury sustained during her track and field career followed her into the WWE Performance Center. As a result, she often found herself in and out of the ring, receiving injections to reduce the pain and inflammation instead.

“I have been so not injury-prone my entire athletic career. I never had a major injury in gymnastics. Track and field, the only thing I ever struggled with was my back, and I knew that was going to be a challenge coming into wrestling,” Summer said.

“That was a big reason where I thought I could never do it as well. I knew it was something that was going to hold me back, if I let me do it at all. And that was really hard coming into it and developing such a love for it and knowing that it’s eventually going to be a problem. My first six months at the PC, I never had a problem with it, but then after that it was just in and out of the ring, in and out.”

In October 2025, WWE released her from her contract.

Fearne Cotton has broken her silence on split from husband Jesse Wood in her first TV interview since the breakup.

Joining Lorraine Kelly on Monday’s episode of the ITV show, the TV presenter, 43, also gave an health update after having two tumours removed from jaw.

Fearne announced her split from Jesse, the son of Rolling Stones bass guitarist Ronnie Wood, in December after 10 years of marriage.

She has since made swipes at Jesse and moved on with TV director Elliot Hegarty, with the pair having been seen kissing during a recent night out.

Fearne has had a difficult few months after undergoing surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jawline, just days before her split with Jesse emerged.

She told host Lorraine: ‘It’s all very amicable and kids are doing great. I am in a very good place.’place.’

Discussing her recent surgery, she added: ‘I feel very grateful to have completely recovered.

‘I feel really good. I have a lot of people reaching out who have had the same thing.’

Davina McCall, 56, announced in November she’d been diagnosed with a colloid cyst, a rare type of benign brain tumour, and has supported Fearne.

She continued: ‘Everyone needs a Davina. She’s been amazing, weird that we had the same health thing going on at the same time. She’s so calming and we speak every day. She is just the best

It comes after Fearne has seemingly made another thinly-veiled dig at her ex-husband as she gushed that she is the happiest she’s ever been in a positive update.

Speaking to Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Fearne gushed that she is ‘really happy’ and is ‘springing out of bed in the morning ready for life’.

Scott, who has known Fearne for 25 years, said he has never seen her ‘more positive or happier’, prompting Fearne to agree and reply: ‘Yeah I feel great!’

She told how her health scare has changed her outlook and said she has been seeking comfort from Davina.
