Magic Johnson Pinpoints Two Major Reasons Behind Lakers’ Embarrassing Blowout Loss To Wolves In Game 1

The Los Angeles Lakers had one of the biggest shock losses in the playoffs. Clashing against the Minnesota Timberwolves, LeBron James and Co. lost the game with a scoreline of 95-117. Quite expectedly, there were a lot of speculations as to where the Lakers lacked. Among the numerous theories going around, one particular analysis from Magic Johnson has gained a lot of traction.

Magic Johnson has always been quite sentimental about the Los Angeles Lakers. Keeping a close eye on the proceedings, Johnson often puts out his opinions on all things Lakers. Quite expectedly, the blowout loss did not please him at all. Pointing out a couple of probable reasons, Johnson analyzed the game on X.

“The Lakers failed in two big categories in their loss against the Timberwolves. On the defensive end – they allowed the Timberwolves to shoot over 51% from the field and they didn’t respond to the physical play of the Timberwolves,” said Johnson.

Johnson also mentioned how the Lakers were too dependent on their front three. “Last but not least, it was too much standing around on the Lakers offense and players watching the Lakers big three, Reeves, Doncic and James, go one-on-one. We need far more productivity from the bench,” opined Johnson.

Meanwhile, as the Lakers will look to make a drastic turnaround to keep their NBA hopes alive, LeBron James has come face to face with a weird situation involving his partner, Savannah.

Kevin Gates has recently dropped a bomb. In a recent upload on his social media, Gates went off on LeBron James’ partner, Savannah James. According to Gates, Savannah does not admire LeBron enough. Gates also had a problem with the manner in which Savannah looked at the NBA star. Gates also felt that Savannah acts like the ‘warden of the jail’ with LeBron.

“You act like the warden of the jail, like you came here to police me. You not d**d out like these white women,” Gates opined. Taking further shots at Savannah, he said, “I just couldn’t do it. It hurt me to see that. Man, you dive on the floor behind that n*a man.”

However, replying to Gates, LeBron sided with his wife. Despite the strong response, it remains to be seen what further developments will occur in the near future.
