Donald Trump will get his time in the Super Bowl spotlight.
President Donald Trump will be involved in Super Bowl 60, after all.
Last week, Donald Trump said he wouldn’t attend Super Bowl 60 between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The 79-year-old said it was “too far,” and previously expressed his unhappiness that Bad Bunny was chosen for the halftime show.
A year ago, Trump became the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles met in the big game. It was held at the New Orleans Saints’ home venue, the Caesars Superdome.
Trump may not be at the Super Bowl this year, but he will make an appearance on NBC before the big game.
NBC News announced that Donald Trump will be interviewed by anchor Tom Llamas at the White House on Wednesday. Some of their interview will be aired today, with a separate portion airing as part of NBC Sports’ Super Bowl pregame show:
“February 3, 2026 – NBC News’ Tom Llamas will sit down with President Donald Trump for a one-on-one exclusive interview at the White House tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4. A portion of the wide-ranging interview will air on NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT, and an extended version will stream on Top Story with Tom Llamas on NBC News NOW at 7 p.m. ET.
A separate segment of the interview – a Super Bowl-week tradition – will air exclusively during NBC’s Super Bowl LX Pregame Show on Sunday, February 8.”
Trump was interviewed by Bret Baier of Fox News last year before the network aired Super Bowl 59. The president of the United States traditionally does an interview as part of the Super Bowl broadcast.

President Trump has plenty of close ties to the NFL. He attempted to purchase the Buffalo Bills in 2014. However, the team was sold to Terry Pegula, who also owns the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres.
Trump attended the Detroit Lions-Washington Commanders game on Nov. 9. Notably, Trump was booed while addressing the fans. A year earlier, he attended the Pittsburgh Steelers’ home game vs. the New York Jets.
He is also popular among NFL owners, receiving donations from Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys), the McNair family (Houston Texans), Shad Khan (Jacksonville Jaguars) and Robert Kraft (New England Patriots). Nick Bosa, Gardner Minshew II and Maxx Crosby are among the players who’ve endorsed Trump, too.
