LSU Football Star’s Mom Is Going Viral After Fans Recognized Her From Wild Viral Video

It’s suddenly going all over the internet again.

Five years after LSU celebrated its national championship at the White House, one unforgettable moment is coming up again.

Many fans have recently rediscovered the famous “Get the Gat” video from LSU’s 2020 White House celebration. While the clip featured several Tigers players dancing, one woman became the center of attention.

That woman was later identified as Gemi Bordelon, the mother of LSU left guard Bo Bordelon. At the time, many people on social media wanted to know who she was. It didn’t take long for fans to learn that she is a businesswoman with strong ties to the LSU football program through her family. Her surprise appearance turned that short celebration into one of the most memorable scenarios from the Tigers’ championship visit.

Gemi Bordelon and her husband, Ben Bordelon, attended LSU’s White House celebration because of their ties to Louisiana’s congressional delegation. Ben also has a strong connection to LSU. He actually played football for the Tigers before joining the San Diego Chargers.

Today, Ben is the president and CEO of the family-owned company, Bollinger Shipyards. He and Gemi live in Lafourche Parish with their family.

Their son, Bo Bordelon, now carries on the family’s LSU tradition. He plays on the offensive line for the Tigers and is entering the 2026 season as a fifth-year senior. Bo has appeared in 42 career games, played several positions along the offensive line, and even lined up as a short-yardage tight end. He is also a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection.

Gemi and Ben have three children. Along with Bo, his younger brother Brett, and their daughter Brooke. Brett has also joined the LSU football program, continuing the family’s long connection with the Tigers. Brooke keeps her Instagram account private but occasionally shares family moments on her VSCO page.

Even years later, the viral White House dance video remains one of the most memorable moments from LSU’s championship celebration. Although the players were the main attraction, Gemi unexpectedly became an internet favorite after joining the dance.
