Viral Moment From Last Season

Yes, the internet was around in 2005 when Dancing With The Stars first premiered on ABC. However, it was utilized in nearly the same way as it is now for contestants to get votes. In fact, the producers are reportedly considering adding a method of voting on a popular social media platform next season.

TikTok has exploded in the last few years as the most popular platform for DWTS and other shows. ABC’s next Bachelorette star, Taylor Frankie Paul, first gained fame as part of the platform’s MomTok.

NFL player Danny Amendola and his pro partner, Witney Carson, went viral last season after their contemporary dance performance on DWTS. At one point in the routine, he slowly lifted his partner off the dance floor by one leg as she arched her back.

Millions of social media users watched and shared the video. And many tried to imitate it only to discover that the seamless move was actually much harder than it looked like. Despite the viral moment, Danny and Witney’s viral trend wasn’t enough to overcome Bachelor star Joey Graziadei’s popularity. He won the season while the NFL player came in fifth place.

DWTS Season 34 Star Goes Viral For Unexpected Move

Season 34 of DWTS is still anyone’s game at this point. Now that Andy Richter is gone, the competition is heating up. The routines are getting harder as the celebrities and their partners need as many votes as they can get. 

Daniella Karagach has been a pro on DWTS for eight seasons. Fans love her creative and unique choreography. One recent dance move she performed with her celebrity partner, Dylan Efron, is going viral with thousands of imitations.

During their Argentine Tango, Dylan held his partner just above the floor as she did a gravity-defying “air walk.” The move was all over TikTok. Dylan Efron posted on social media that seeing everyone trying the routine has made his and Danielle’s week after a tough elimination in the Los Angeles, California, studio where the show films.

DWTS fans couldn’t get enough of the social media trend inspired by the move. “I’ve been seeing so many doing this and Dani resharing many, love this for them,” one fan wrote on social media.

Another fan said, “It also might have come at the right time for him. I figured last week was his breakout that might have gotten him into the finale.” A third fan agreed, “welp- they’re a shoe in for the finale now”

Daniella Karagach, husband, DWTS pro Pasha Pashkov performed the viral dance with their young daughter, Nikita, 2. The “air walk” move has reposted thousands of times on social media.
