Dave Portnoy branded Jason Whitlock a “clown” during a rant on Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ this week.

The Barstool Sports owner was the latest guest on the popular internet show and spent some time discussing Whitlock, who he claims went on the record as being a fan of his.

He then described the Blaze TV host as an attention seeker.

“Jason Whitlock is on the record for saying ‘I love Dave Portnoy, Dave Portnoy’s the best’,” Portnoy said. “Jason Whitlock’s a click-chasing clown.”

“Oh really? You don’t say,” Sharpe asked sarcastically.

Stool Presidente also called Whitlock out over his description of FOX’s Joy Taylor, whom the ‘Fearless’ host has been highly critical of since she was named in a lawsuit.

Portnoy admitted that Whitlock has, to his credit, gotten him to bite a few times because it’s hard to ignore the criticism sometimes.

“I try to ignore it, I tell people don’t send me bad stuff about me because I have a hard time ignoring it,” he added.

Jason Whitlock has since responded to Portnoy’s comments, asking for context in a short tweet.

“What’s the context to this? Why? What are they doing?” he wrote while reposting the video.

Jason has gone after Dave on a few occasions. But he has had a lot more to say about Sharpe, a former colleague, both before and after the r-pe allegations.

Whitlock warned that Sharpe might eventually be exposed after the lawsuit naming Taylor was filed late last year, claiming the former tight end has a rap sheet that would make Taylor “look like Mother Teresa.”

Sharpe must have been happy to have that shot taken at him this week.
