Drones are being dropped out of the sky.

British F-35s just achieved something that has never been seen before in w@r. The UK said its forces shot down multiple drones across the Middle East over the past 24 hours as Iran continues to retaliate.

F-35 Joint Strike Fighter is the fighter jet of choice for the United States and 19 allied nations. That includes the United Kingdom and Israel. The UK’s Royal Air Force uses its version, while the Israeli Air Force operates the F-35I Adir.

Following the outbreak of the 2026 conflict with Iran, history has been made with air-to-air kills with both nations.

On Mar. 3, 2026, the UK Ministry of Defence announced that the RAF’s F-35Bs made their first air-to-air kills, per Business Insider.

This marks the first time the aircraft has shot down a target on operations,” the MoD said. “The aircraft was supported by RAF Typhoon jets and a Voyager air-to-air refueling aircraft as part of our defense operation to protect British interests and allies.”

The kill comes in the same week a US submarine used a torpedo to sink an Iranian ship in the Indian Ocean. It was the first such attack since WWII, the Pentagon said. The US attack took place thousands of miles from Iran.

Sri Lanka’s navy rescued 32 survivors, according to the AP. The ship went down with 180 people aboard.

The UK received its F-35 jets in 2012. They reached initial operational capability status in 2018.

Since the fighting began, Iran has launched hundreds of ballistic and cruise missiles and one-way attack drones at many Middle Eastern countries. A strike on an American military installation killed at least six service members and wounded several others. British bases have also been hit in this conflict.

The Middle East has been locked in air defense battles since the US and Israel started striking Iran on Saturday. There is no telling how long this w@r might last.
