It’s not often on DWTS that an eliminated contestant gets to return for a second chance. The celebrity dance competition brought back fan-favorite contestants who almost won an All-Star season in 2012. But celebrities sent home early rarely return to the dance floor.
One celebrity who competed on the show thinks they were “unfairly” eliminated and wants another chance at the Mirrorball Trophy.
Season 34 Eliminates First Celebrities In Double Elimination
Dancing With The Stars is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year. The show premiered in 2005. Season 33 winner Joey Graziadei revealed on the show’s official podcast that one of the theme nights later this season is a 20th birthday party.

But not all of the celebrities will make it that far. The Season 34 contestants got lucky last week, and no one was sent home. Luck ran out for two celebrities and their pro partners this week. The first elimination of the new season was a shocking double elimination.
Who went home this week?
Viewers weren’t surprised that ’80s movie star Corey Feldman was eliminated from the competition. He reportedly caused problems backstage for his pro partner, Jenna Johnson.
Former NBA player Baron Davis and pro Britt Stewart were the second couple eliminated. Four couples tied for first place. Click here to see the complete Week 2 scoreboard.
Former DWTS Contestant Speaks Out About Unfair Elimination, Wants 2nd Chance
The Los Angeles, California, studio where DWTS films has seen every type of celebrity over the years. The show has had reality TV stars, movie stars, talk show hosts, athletes, and more compete for the Mirrorball Trophy.
But one previous contestant thinks they were robbed of their chance to take home the coveted disco ball.
Talk show host Sherri Shepherd was a contestant on Season 14 of DWTS. She recently appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live and was asked about her time on the dance competition.
She said competing on the show was the “time of her life” and that she’s still in touch with the pro dancers. But she admitted that she wasn’t happy about getting eliminated so early.
Sherri Shepherd and her pro partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, were eliminated third after a disappointing Tango. “I think I was unfairly eliminated. I got eliminated doing the tango, and I love salsa, bachata, and tango,” she said.
The former co-host of The View added that she would love to get a second chance if the show did another season featuring previous contestants. “So, I really want them, if they have a fan favorite, I would love to go back,” Sherri Shepherd told Andy Cohen.
If DWTS did a fan favorite season, which former celebrity contestant would you want to see return? Let us know in the comments.
