Cam Schlittler got two victories on Thursday, one against the Boston Red Sox and another against one member of their fan base.

Schlittler wasn’t finished pouncing on the Red Sox. Even after holding Boston scoreless through eight innings with 12 strikeouts, he just had to get even more.

Shortly after the Yankees’ 4-0 win on Thursday, which eliminated the Boston Red Sox, Schlittler felt like trolling and knew what to do.

The Yankees rookie starter pulled out his phone to reply to a gambling influencer.

Cam Schlittler replied to a post by Lucy Burdge, a DraftKings content creator, in which she writes, “Red Sox in 3.”

“Not this year,” Schlitter replied on X, which more than 630,000 people have seen.

Following the game, Schlittler told reporters it was “personal for me” to beat the Red Sox after hearing chirping from Boston fans.

Schlittler delivered what will go down as one of the best starts in postseason history. He pitched well and eliminated the Yankees’ most hated rival to send his squad to the AL Division Series.

The rookie pitcher dominated eight shutout innings, striking out 12 with zero walks in a 4-0 win. The Red Sox could do absolutely nothing against him.

They managed to get five hits, but never had one at-bat with a runner in scoring position. That is pure domination.

Before Cam Schlittler, no pitcher in the league’s history had thrown eight scoreless innings with 12-plus strikeouts and zero walks in a postseason game.

After the Yankees’ win, they will face another division rival, the Toronto Blue Jays.
