Robert Irwin nearly broke the internet in April with a steamy ad campaign. The conservationist, 21, posed in just his underwear in a promotional ad for the Bonds brand. He was the first contestant announced for Season 34 of DWTS just a few weeks later.

Fans had to wait until September to see his moves on the dance floor. He’s consistently landed at the top of the leaderboard in the season’s first three episodes. The Australian native is temporarily living in Los Angeles, California, while competing on the reality show, but is he looking to make the move permanent?

Robert Irwin has mentioned several times that his sister was his inspiration for joining DWTS. “I remember coming to every live taping to watch her and thinking, ‘One day I have to do this,’” he told the media.

The Season 34 contestant has been flooded with direct messages on social media, especially since his last dance. During TikTok Night, Robert Irwin performed a Salsa to “Million Dollar Baby” by Tommy Richman.

The dance began with Witney Carson on his shoulders. Halfway through the performance, he gave fans what they were waiting for: Robert Irwin ripped his shirt off.

 

“I was bummed that I had to put the shirt back on! That was a bit of fun, I liked that,” he told Page Six after the dance. He said that he wanted to show a different side of himself.

Mission accomplished! His DMs were flooded after his latest DWTS appearance.

“Oh my goodness, the DMs. First of all, it just means so, so much. But, yeah, I’m on the lookout and it’ll happen when it happens … keep it coming,” the zookeeper said.

But he isn’t looking for just anyone. He told E! News what he’s looking for in a match. “I think more than anything else, just genuine kindness. That’s so important. I think you need to surround yourself with people who are genuinely kind,” Robert Irwin said.

He added, “Also, my life is a whirlwind. It’s an adventure and I would love to be able to share that with someone and to share those little moments.”
