ESPN is adding another sideline reporter to its rotation for the 2025-26 NBA season.

It was already determined that Malika Andrews, Katie George, Lisa Salters and Jorge Sedano would be covering NBA games for ESPN this year. On Friday, however, Front Office Sports revealed that a fifth member will join that crew.

According to Front Office Sports, SEC Network reporter Alyssa Lang will cover the NBA this upcoming season.

“Lang has been a host and reporter for ESPN and SEC Network since 2018, and brings an upbeat presence to the job,” Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports wrote. “Lang’s first assignment in the NBA is this Sunday’s preseason matchup with the Cavaliers playing at the Celtics, working on a broadcast team with Mark Jones and Doris Burke.”

Who is Alyssa Lang?

The Worldwide Leader In Sports hired Lang in the summer of 2018. She has covered college basketball and college football for the SEC Network.

Lang is also one of the hosts of “SEC Now.” Previously, she was the co-host of “Out of Pocket” for a few seasons.

“Before joining the ESPN and SEC Network family, Lang was a sports anchor and reporter at First Coast News in Jacksonville for two seasons,” her bio states. “Prior to her time in the Sunshine State, she worked at WLTX in Columbia, S.C., where she covered South Carolina, Clemson, Carolina Panthers and more. In addition, Lang has had stints at SPEEDTV, GamecockCentral.com and WCNC in Charlotte.”

Time will tell if Lang ends up being a great addition to ESPN’s coverage of the NBA.
