Jayden Daniels’ mother, Regina Jackson, had a message for NFL fans after the Commanders lost to the Cowboys on Sunday.

The NFC East clash resulted in a disheartening 44-22 loss for Washington, marking their fourth defeat of the season.

Daniels’ second season in the pros isn’t going as well as his rookie campaign, while he has also dealt with concerning injuries. The arc has fans comparing the quarterback to Robert Griffin III, who had an incredible first season with the Washington Redskins after being picked second overall, much like Jayden, but saw his career impacted by injuries.

Regina isn’t having it; however. She took to X following Sunday’s loss to ask fans to stop predicting her son will turn out like RGIII, reminding them that words are powerful.

“I wish you would stop manifesting RGIII on my son.  Words are powerful and that’s all that’s talked about🙏🏽🙏🏽,” she wrote.

“Tell them Mama 5. He ain’t RG3. He’s JD5. That kid. Baby goat. Ferrari 5. Plain and Simple,” someone commented.

“This is not helping your son one bit. Fans are going to talk and that’s their right. I understand protecting your son, but your son is a grown man. Let him work his way out of this and get better,” another user suggested.

While this comes from a good place, it will probably do very little.
