Dancing with the Stars fans have had some strong feelings this season about what they feel are “weak” components of the ABC show, but they are pleased when it comes to the songs that will be used on the upcoming Wicked Night–even if they’re still peeved with producers.

The show is honoring the smash phenomenon, which is releasing its Part II movie in November, with routines set to music from the film and Broadway show.

And while some of the pros will be working to prevent more “unfair” comments from the judges, all will be giving it their best shot as they try to avoid a heartbreaking elimination.

The show has officially revealed the songs and dance styles that fans will hear and see when the episode airs, and overall, viewers are thrilled by the choices.

However, some couldn’t resist slamming producers, as they noted the dance styles some of the pairs were assigned, claiming it was clear that they were playing favorites.

According to a press release, Alix Earle, Robert Irwin and Andy Richter will all perform Jazz routines, respectively set to the songs What is This Feeling?, Dancing Through Life and One Short Day.

Scott Hoying and Elaine Hendrix will both tackle Contemporary routines set to the tracks The Wizard and I and Defying Gravity, while Dylan Efron and Jordan Chiles will both perform Rumbas to I’m Not That Girl and For Good.

The night will be closed out by a Quickstep from Whitney Leavitt set to Popular, a Foxtrot from Jen Affleck to As Long As You’re Mine and an Argentine Tango from Danielle Fishel, set to No Good Deed.

Overall, fans were delighted by the song choices, with many praising that some were unpredictable, with most excited about the routines that Elaine and Danielle would perform.

“ELAINE THIS IS YOUR WEEK TO SHINE,” one person wrote on Reddit.

“Elaine having Defying Gravity sis SO well with me,” another said.

“I’m just happy someone who has been getting the short end of the stick for almost the entirety of the season so far, is getting Defying Gravity. GO ELAINE!!” a third added.

“I’m so excited for Danielle and Elaine to get such great songs! I think they both needed standout moments and it’s hard to not have stand out moments to those songs,” a fourth shared.

While the songs were a hit though, others expressed annoyance over the dance styles, noting that Alix and Robert were both assigned Jazz routines just one week after they performed Contemporary dances.

“Production is telling on themselves with the ones that just got contemporary last week getting jazz this week,” one person noted.

“Robert and Alix have also gotten to close the shows, and they were announced early on GMA. I think they are definitely producer favorites–understandable because they are doing well, but I just feel bad for the other couples,” another said.

Another pointed out that fans felt the same way about Danny Amendola in Season 33, writing that they thought Robert was getting similar treatment now.

“Yes Danny is the PERFECT example of producer favoritism. I think they just wanted more viral moments, which is understandable, but it is pretty unfair to give him contemporary and jazz back-to-back when they know he struggles with other styles,” they said.

Another pointed out that Carrie Ann criticized Danielle and Pasha’s jive being “the same” as their Quickstep from the week before, saying that they would be interested to see if the couples with two similar styles earned the same remark this week.
