NETFLIX has canceled TWO major shows in a brutal double axe.

The streaming giant has put two series on the backburner.

According to Variety, both The Abandons and The Vince Staples Show have been canceled by the streamer.

The Abandons will be ending after just one series while The Vince Staples Show has been given the chop after two outings.

Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson led the cast of The Abandons when it launched in December.

However, it faced production difficulties throughout its run as well as a negative critical reception.

Meanwhile, The Vince Staples Show initially launched in 2024 and managed to earn itself two seasons.

The comedy series was created by title star, rapper Vince Staples with the last outing airing just two months ago.

Fans have been left stunned at the decision to axe both shows – especially so quickly after they last aired.

Writing online, one fan penned: “Damn, Netflix really doesn’t give shows time to breathe anymore.

“Another case of one-and-done at Netflix.”

Another added: “That sucks!! They left off leaving so many ways to go and so many questions!!”

A third posted: “Surprised by cancelation of The Abandons.

“Would have been challenging to come up with compelling 2nd season story lines, but first season had the intensity needed, and went out in a blaze.”

Before a fourth went on to say: “Only Netflix could cancel a Sons of Anarchy creator AND a rapper’s comedy in one swoop.”
