Relationships between NBA and WNBA players are extremely rare. That’s why when Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson hinted about starting a family with and Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo, everybody was excited.

We’d all think that it’s common for NBA guys to have relationships with WNBA players because they share a common thing: love for basketball. To be honest, such relationships are rare. That’s why when Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo and Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson were reportedly dating, everybody rejoiced.

Wilson is arguably one of the greatest WNBA players of all time. Adebayo, on the other hand, is still working his way to make Miami more successful.  Both reportedly started dating in 2021 but only confirmed their relationship in early 2025. Now, Wilson gave us a subtle hint in a recent interview with TIME that her relationship with Bam might be entering a new and exciting phase.

“That is always a dream. This is my life partner. Honestly, what on earth was my world before you? That’s how much he’s impacted my life,” per A’ja Wilson on her future with Bam Adebayo.

Planning to have kids? That’s wonderful. Aside from the obvious narrative that the couple might produce some exceptionally athletic offspring in the near future, this next step of becoming parents would be an exciting journey for the two.

Bam Adebayo Is Climbing Up In Miami’s Record Books

Even though Adebayo has had an up-and-down season due to injuries, he’s been superb with the Heat as of late. Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra recently praised him for passing Glen Rice for third in the team’s all-time scoring list.

Bam Adebayo might be a bit undersized at the center spot at 6-foot-9, but he remains a tough cover from opposing teams. While not a great shooter from behind the three-point line, Adebayo improved his numbers from that area this season, sinking almost two attempts per game.
