The Los Angeles Lakers franchise is in mourning over the loss of Elden Campbell.
Campbell, who spent most of his career with his hometown Los Angeles Lakers and later won the NBA Finals with the Detroit Pistons, has died.
He was only 57.
Campbell’s d3ath was first reported by the Los Angeles Times.
The longtime Los Angeles Lakers big man and key figure on the team during the ’90s had no cause of d3ath given.
Elden Campbell’s d3ath comes over a year after Lakers legend Jerry West passed away.
He passed away at the age of 86.
Back in 2020, Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash.
The helicopter he was traveling in crashed into a hillside, killing all nine people on board, including his daughter.

In his fifteen-year career, Campbell spent eight seasons with his hometown Lakers.
He also spent time playing for the Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Hornets, and New Jersey Nets.
The former center won his only NBA championship as a member of the Pistons, which he achieved in 2004 when they defeated Shaq and Kobe in the Finals.
Elden Campbell, who played for Clemson University, got his first taste of action after being selected by the Lakers in the first round back in the 1990 draft.
He would play alongside Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant before getting traded to the Hornets, where he would remain until 2003.
Campbell, nicknamed “Easy E,” signed with the Pistons in July 2003.
Campbell finished his career averaging 10.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 24.7 minutes across 1,044 games, including 671 starts.
