Posting a video on Instagram on April 3, 9-1-1‘s social team revealed the show got renewed for season 9 in the fall of 2025. If that wasn’t enough, it caused actor Oliver Stark (who plays Evan “Buck” Buckley) to react to the big announcement in his own way. As he shared a behind-the-scenes Instagram photo of him on set (taken by his co-star Peter Krause), Oliver expressed his gratitude about 9-1-1 coming back for another go-around.
“Season 9 Renewal,” he excitedly wrote in the caption. “Smiles all around 🚨 @911onabc. 📸: Peter Krause.”
Given how Oliver has been on 9-1-1 since the beginning, seeing his heartfelt note about coming back for season 9 caused a frenzy among his fanbase online.
“Best news I’ve heard in a long time!” on person exclaimed in the comments. “Congratulations to my favorite show!! Can’t wait to see what’s in store! 🙌🔥,” another declared. “S9 BUCK WE’RE SOOO BAACKKK,” a different follower added.
