ESPN’s Adam Schefter suggested that Lamar Jackson’s foot injury is even worse than the Baltimore Ravens want fans to believe.

The two-time MVP left Wednesday’s practice after having his foot stepped on, immediately leading to concern among Ravens fans. Any injury involving a starting quarterback bears monitoring, but Jackson’s dual-threat style of play has made him awfully injury-prone throughout his career.

Baltimore has already been hit hard by the injury bug this month, with tight end Isaiah Likely sidelined indefinitely with a small foot fracture. On top of that, rookie cornerback Bilhal Kone suffered season-ending MCL and ACL tears in the club’s first preseason game.

Per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told reporters that Lamar Jackson underwent X-rays, and that no damage was found.

“He’s fine,” Harbaugh said. “He’s going to be good. I told the guys, ‘Prayers do get answered.’ “I was praying.”

Speaking on ESPN’s “NFL Live” program, however, Schefter indicated that Lamar Jackson’s injury might be more serious than Harbaugh indicated:

“If it was anything that was nothing, (John Harbaugh) wouldn’t have to pray that Lamar Jackson’s X-rays would’ve turned the way they did. He didn’t practice today, second straight day.”

On top of the promising X-ray results, the other good news is that Jackson still has 17 days to recover before his Ravens kick off the 2025 season against the Buffalo Bills.

Jackson and the Ravens are a popular pick to win Super Bowl 60 this season, but they’ve also been one of the heavy favorites for five straight years. And so far, they’ve only advanced past the Divisional Round once in the Jackson era.

A year after losing 17-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, the Ravens lost 27-25 to Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round. Tight end Mark Andrews had a costly fumble and drop on a potential game-tying two-point conversion attempt, adding more heartbreak to the Ravens’ postseason misery.

We know what Jackson and the Ravens can do in the regular season. We’ll see if they can finally shed the “can’t win the big one” label in 2025.

Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.

The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.

The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”

However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.

It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.

Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.

The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.

Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.

This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
