Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark share a word courtside.

Sophie Cunningham has announced a new partnership with Adidas that will expand her biggest personal initiative yet.

The Indiana Fever forward revealed the news in a series of Instagram stories, confirming that Adidas will take on a central role in the upcoming Sophie Cunningham Classic, the high school girls tournament she founded to give young athletes a larger stage.

The excitement was unmistakable as she told fans what the next chapter will look like.

“So, you guys know I do the Sophie Cunningham Classic every single year. It’s a high school girls basketball tournament. There is a lot of top-ranked teams in the United States, a lot of top-ranked players who are going to be at this Classic, so I’m super, super excited for that,” Cunningham said.

“Also, we have a ton of new sponsors, a lot of fun gifts and opportunities there, which I’m stoked about. But tickets just became available today, and so on the next slide, go ahead and click.

“I’m going to post the registration link. You guys get your tickets there, and I’ll also post the schedule and all the people who are going to be in it. So, I’m excited for it. It’s going to be so much fun.

“It’s bigger and better than ever…. So, yeah, come hang out. Come see me. I’ll be around there all weekend.”

Adidas steps in as the Classic prepares for its biggest year yet

What began in December 2022 as a regional showcase with 12 teams and 21 games is now evolving into a nationally recognized platform for girls basketball.

Held annually in Columbia, Missouri, Cunningham‘s hometown, the event was originally built to highlight talent from the Midwest and help players connect with college coaches.

The mission has remained the same, but the scale continues to grow.

Tickets for the fourth annual tournament are officially available for the event scheduled January nine through eleven.

With Adidas joining as a primary backer, the 2026 edition is drawing attention from well beyond the region. Cunningham has been aligned with Adidas as one of her own endorsement partners, and the company’s involvement signals a deeper commitment to elevating the Classic into a marquee stop on the high school circuit.

Past editions of the tournament have also included community-based initiatives. Commerce Bank partnered with the Classic in 2025 to bring financial literacy programming to the participating players, something Cunningham said carried real meaning for her.

“I think financial education is hugely important… Having the participation of a company like that is super special to me,” she said at the time.
