CC continues to support her teammates after the Fever’s elimination from the playoffs.

Caitlin Clark sends her support to one of her Fever teammates after a heartfelt Instagram postAP
Caitlin Clark was unable to shine as she had hoped in her second year in the WNBA after injuries to her quadriceps and groin led her to play only 13 games with the Indiana Fever, averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals.
However, in early September, the team confirmed that Clark would be ruled out for the rest of the season, and since then, she has become just another fan, cheering from the bench and on social media.

At every game, Clark has been supporting her teammates as she continues on her road to recovery.
The Indiana Fever won the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup in July 2025, qualified for the playoffs for the second consecutive year, reached Game 5 of the semifinals, and lost to the Las Vegas Aces.
Despite this setback, one of her teammates made an emotional post on her official Instagram account, stating that the campaign “will go down as one of the best of my career.”
Natasha Howard thanked her “fifteen new sisters” for the warmth of the team: “They made me feel wanted, valued, and loved. I wasn’t just another number to them. They pulled the vet out of me,” the 34-year-old veteran said emotionally.
In her post, Howard also confessed that she didn’t want the season to end for a special reason: “I wasn’t ready for this season to end, not just because we were chasing a championship, but because I wasn’t ready to leave the love I felt from every single player,” Natasha said. “If we could make it this far with seven injuries, just imagine what a full roster would’ve looked like.”

To end the post, to which she added 20 photos with her Fever teammates, Natasha wrote: “Yes, I’m still crying because we went through hell & we never stopped trusting and believing in each other!”
Just like on the court, CC didn’t hesitate to show her love and commented on the post, saying: “Slimeeeeee, appreciate you always,” Clark wrote.
The truth is that only Caitlin, Aliyah Boston, and Makayla Timpson have contracts through 2026, so Howard‘s future with the Fever is uncertain as she is an unrestricted free agent this offseason. But without a doubt, the affection between her teammates is undeniable.
