Season 2 of The Golden Bachelor is already at the Hometown Dates stage. After just a few weeks of handing out roses, Mel Owens has chosen his final three women. He heads to each of their hometowns this week to meet their families and build stronger connections. But it’s the Bachelor, so viewers can expect some drama.

Who Are Mel’s Final Three?

Golden Bachelor viewers celebrated when Mel Owens sent Nicolle Kate Briscoe home last week. The Season 2 villain angered fans of the show by admitting that she was only on the reality show for exposure, not love. Furthermore, she dissed the contestants from the first season by saying they weren’t as pretty as the Season 2 contestants.

Another contestant, Carol Freeman-Branstine, left the show on her own because she didn’t feel a connection with the former NFL player. The final three women are Debbie Siebers, Peg Munson and Cindy Cullers. Mel will head to Debbie’s hometown in Denver, Colorado, and Peg’s hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Cindy Opens Up About Introducing Him To Her Kids

Each of Mel Owens’ final three feels strongly that he’s their future husband. But they have a few more hurdles to get over before their fates are sealed. First, Mel has to meet the families of each of the final three, including their kids. Cindy opened up to Us Weekly about the awkward meeting.

“It should be wonderful to have him meet my family and my three daughters, and two son-in-laws, and to see how we can behave in Texas,” she said. Cindy told the outlet that she only prepped Mel by telling him the names of her kids and what they do for a living. The rest, she said, was up to him.

“It’s time to swim or sink. And, I believe in Mel. We’ve got great chemistry. He makes everybody feel super important in his presence — it’s one of his gifts. So I know if he’s true to himself, it’ll go great,” Cindy told the outlet.

The Hometown Dates are when the true connections reveal themselves. After that, the contestants might get an invitation to the Fantasy Suite Dates. Usually the final three each get an overnight date, but with the finale around the corner, Mel Owens could opt to send someone home after Hometown Dates.

Fans hope that one of Mel’s final three could be the next Golden Bachelorette if she doesn’t get his final rose. But first, they all have to get through Hometowns. Meeting the families of someone you’re dating is always tough. But how do you explain the rapid speed of TV dating shows?

That’s a problem Cindy faces in the preview for this week’s episode. She confesses to the camera that she has “Big L” feelings for Mel, but her kids aren’t sure about it.

The preview clip had fans begging Cindy to “run.” Several fans thought Mel wasn’t interested in her. One fan wrote, “Mel doesn’t look like he is feeling it. Run Cindy run!”
