DWTS will be shaking up the judges’ table next season and has plans to bring back a beloved pro for a full-time role after viewer backlash, The U.S. Sun has learned.
The move would come after many fans have begged the show to “fire” longtime panelist Carrie Ann Inaba, as they’ve grown “tired” of her “biased” critique of the contestants.

On Tuesday’s episode of Dancing With the Stars, former pro Kym Johnson-Herjavec returned to the ballroom that made her famous – but this time, she sat in the judges’ chair.
Viewers were almost unanimous in praising Kym, 49, for her helpful critique, valid criticism, and uplifting feedback when judging Dedication Night on DWTS on Tuesday.
The response to Kym’s comeback was so overwhelmingly positive, the studio is already seeing what the options are for getting her back permanently.
“Fans can plan for a judges shakeup next season and leading that charge is Kym, who blew everyone away as a judge this week.
“She has great relationships with production and the network, especially with her husband being very tied into ABC too, so they knew she would deliver.
“But she exceeded expectations. After the episode aired, she had everyone… pro dancers, contestants, studio execs, everyone, coming up to her to compliment her on her helpful critiques all night.
“She looks the part, she acts the part, and she’s beloved by everyone in the studio and all the fans at home.
“It’s a no-brainer to get her back. There’s already an active discussion to see how they can make it happen,” a show insider claimed.

The insider added that the “main roadblock” to making the shift happen would be the logistics, especially with Kym primarily residing in Canada with husband Robert Herjavec and their kids.
However, the family also has a house in Orange County and Robert is often in California for work, so there are ways to “make it work.”
“If Kym did come back, it wouldn’t necessarily be to replace Carrie Ann.
“There is chatter about revamping the four-judge format that the show had for a long time before Len’s passing,” the source added.
Kym was a DWTS pro from 2006 until 2017 and ended up winning the Mirrorball Trophy twice.
In season 9, she went all the way to the end with legendary entertainer Donny Osmond.
She repeated her success two years later during season 11, where she won with NFL player Hines Ward.
During her impressive 15-season run, she was partnered with Shark Tank star Robert, whom she ended up marrying in 2016.
She ultimately ended up leaving the show to start a family with Robert, 63, and the pair welcomed twins, Hudson and Haven, in April 2018.
Now that their kids are a little older, fans passionately want Kym back on the show following her appearance this week.
“Petition to make Kym a permanent judge on #DWTS she was completely fair & rational every time and actually offered feedback to the couples,” one viewer wrote.
“Not to be dramatic but kym has been a better judge in 40 minutes than Carrie Ann has been in like 10 seasons,” another tweeted.
“Kym is showing us the type of judge we could’ve had this whole time,” a third wrote, to which another agreed, adding: “When she stood up to demonstrate, I fell in love I was like we need to keep her at that table!!!”
“Kym brought back the spirit of Len this week! Bringing back actual critiques and genuine advice,” added one more of the beloved late judge, Len Goodman.
Dancing With the Stars season 34 airs on Tuesdays at 8pm EST on ABC and is available to stream the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.

But last night, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Fallon stepped out of the spotlight and into something far darker. The punchlines vanished. The studio lights felt colder. Together, they claimed a systemic cover up shielded by staggering wealth and power, unveiling a chilling file about a woman allegedly erased by elite circles. Screens flickered. Timelines exploded. Nearly half a billion people watched in disbelief. Comedy turned to confrontation. And now the question burning across the country is simple. Who is scrambling behind closed doors tonight?
