The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have offered a statement regarding the violent golf course fight involving former NHL player Nick Tarnasky, following a video of the ex-enforcer beating the pants off a drunken golfer.

The video, which has been trending on social media, shows Tarnasky confronting a pair of golfers over their pace of play and then being attacked after one of them continually berates him. Tarnasky delivers several punches, calling them all out and also throwing the guy into a pond.

Of course, the video caught the attention of the RCMP, but it doesn’t appear that Nick will face any charges, as they have announced that their investigation is closed, having received no report of assault.

“It was essentially a report of a fight and an intoxicated individual. Nobody came forward to us alleging an assault or anything like that, and our investigation was concluded,” Cpl. Troy Savinkoff told CBC.

While Tarnasky isn’t in legal hot water, he could be in trouble with his job. The former center is currently the head coach of Red Deer Minor Hockey’s U17 AAA team, and he’s now part of an internal investigation following the video going into circulation.

“We are aware of a video circulating on social media involving a coach with Red Deer Minor Hockey. At this time, given that we understand the matter is being reviewed by local policing authorities and we are conducting our own internal investigation into the alleged incident, we will have no further comments,” the team told CBC.

Tarnasky had a reputation as a non-nonsense enforcer during his playing days. But his position as a coach, especially one of a youth team, requires discipline. He has come under fire from folks questioning his judgment and whether he went overboard, given that the other party appeared to be defenseless after initially triggering the fight.

Nick’s coaching future now lies with parents and league officials. The outcome remains to be seen.

Discussing her recent surgery, she added: ‘I feel very grateful to have completely recovered.

‘I feel really good. I have a lot of people reaching out who have had the same thing.’

Davina McCall, 56, announced in November she’d been diagnosed with a colloid cyst, a rare type of benign brain tumour, and has supported Fearne.

She continued: ‘Everyone needs a Davina. She’s been amazing, weird that we had the same health thing going on at the same time. She’s so calming and we speak every day. She is just the best

It comes after Fearne has seemingly made another thinly-veiled dig at her ex-husband as she gushed that she is the happiest she’s ever been in a positive update.

Speaking to Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Fearne gushed that she is ‘really happy’ and is ‘springing out of bed in the morning ready for life’.

Scott, who has known Fearne for 25 years, said he has never seen her ‘more positive or happier’, prompting Fearne to agree and reply: ‘Yeah I feel great!’
