It has been revealed that Carrie Underwood was close to quitting American Idol. A production insider told The U.S. Sun all of the details. Carrie struggled a lot with the hate she was receiving for what she wore and how she looked. However, she was also upset with having to be far away from her family for a long time.

“There’s been a lot of switch-ups into how they’re making this season. The Hollywood Week was taken out completely to lessen the amount of time Carrie and the judges filmed in Los Angeles. And because it’s her home base and such a good city for music, they filmed in Nashville.”

They also allowed Carrie to bring her entire family to Hawaii when they filmed that.
