Cunningham continues to draw attention around the league, first with a raunchy comment that left the WNBA world in stitches. She also drew a lot of attention with a bikini selfie that sent fans into a frenzy.
The veteran guard has never shied away from expressing her opinion or posting whatever she likes on social media. Her unfiltered personality has earned her fans as well as detractors, but she won’t change it anytime soon.
Sophie Cunningham Pictures Major Injury If She Ever Got Breast Implants While Still Playing In WNBA

During the latest edition of her “Show Me Something” podcast, Cunningham discussed the possibility of getting breast implants while she’s still active in the W. Co-host West Wilson asked Cunningham her opinion on boobs. She said women should flaunt it if they had it.
When asked if anybody in the league had “fake boobs,” she didn’t give a straightforward answer. Instead, she said she would think twice before getting them.
Cunningham: “But I would be so scared of getting them because I just feel like…”
Wilson: “Of taking an elbow.”
Cunningham: “Yes, oh my gosh.”
Wilson: “You’re just like, psss, boob just f***ing…”
Cunningham: “Straight to the ER.”
Wilson: “Deflated breast implants, out indefinitely.”
Cunningham: “Yeah, that’d be my luck. That’d literally be my luck, but whatever.”

Knowing how physical she plays and her role on the court (the enforcer), it is easy to see why Cunningham would suffer that fate. Defending Caitlin Clark during the 2025 WNBA season also got her in trouble with opposing players, so she’s better off without getting that procedure.
