Damian Lillard spent two glorious years at the Milwaukee Bucks, but for a few months, his time at the franchise was getting burdensome for him. And his family was feeling the weight.
Recently, the Portland Trail Blazers’ latest addition has opened up about his daughter’s adorable reaction to staying in the city. During his initial presser for his new camp, Dame shared what it means to be back home for him and his family.
“I didn’t say nothing to [my kids] until Saturday when I actually signed and they were with me… my daughter was looking at me, and I told her and she was like, ‘Wait, we don’t have to get on the airplane to Milwaukee no more?’” Lillard said(Via ESPN).
The sweet reaction from his little one is understandable, as their father had to fly a whole 2000+ miles from Oregon to Milwaukee. Now that he’s finally home, his daughter could spend more time with him.
This comes after the Bucks waived the 9x NBA All-Star earlier this month. Yet, that feeling has soon been overjoyed by the chance of living close to home while nursing his season-ending Achilles injury.

Damian Lillard is back where it all started, and it couldn’t feel more right to him. Over the weekend, the NBA veteran signed a three-year, $42 million contract to return to Portland.
The deal includes a no-trade clause and an opt-out option after two seasons. Excitedly, Lillard brought his three kids along for the signing.
However, as he shared the story to his fanbase, social media users were all love for his daughter’s adorable chat.
“They DID NOT like Milwaukee lmaooo,” a fan commented.
“we love you dame,” another fan wrote.
“Good. A man that loves and is there for his family. Respect,” a third one added.
“Imagine telling them we get to go to Disneyland every day!!! No he chose Portland,” a fourth fan mentioned.
“I knew he was coming back, it all seemed to obvious,” another fan wrote while adding a LeBron James gif.
“Can’t wait for Dame to be back. He’s gonna play with purpose when he returns,” a user wrote.
While he’s thrilled to be back, Lillard is also facing a tough road ahead after tearing his left Achilles tendon in April. After surgery, he’s likely to miss the entire 2025-26 season.
Brittney Griner (Photo via Twitter)
WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.
The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.
The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”
However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.
It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.
Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”
This is the first time I’ve heard Brittney Griner speak! 🤨

WNBA Chooses Not To Investigate Brittney Griner

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.
The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.
Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got away with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.
This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
