Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., the 15-year-old son of reality star Kim Zolciak, is facing a major legal controversy.
Biermann Jr. is the 15-year-old eldest son of reality television star Kim Zolciak and former NFL linebacker Kroy Biermann. Specifically, his mother gained fame as an original cast member on Bravo’s hit series The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Consequently, the teenager grew up in the public eye alongside his five siblings before his parents’ highly publicized divorce. He is a student and competitive high school football player who recently received athletic scholarship offers.
KJ Biermann is Facing Multiple Charges

A Georgia grand jury formally indicted the teenager on seven severe felony sex crime charges on September 3. The indictment includes charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, and false imprisonment.
According to police warrants, the charges stem from an alleged April incident at an Alpharetta fitness facility. A female classmate accused Biermann of trapping her in a changing area and forcing her into sexual acts. Consequently, authorities arrested him on August 17, and he is currently being held in jail without bond.
However, his famous mother and his defense lawyer are strongly maintaining his absolute innocence in the matter.
What Was Found in Court
In recent legal proceedings in Georgia, prosecutors disclosed new details regarding the ongoing criminal case involving Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr. During a court hearing, representatives from the District Attorney’s office stated that digital evidence recovered from the teenager’s cellular phone led to an additional charge of sexual battery involving a minor.
Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy said there were “multiple encounters” on video discovered on the device and that they allegedly showed KJ using “predatory, derogatory” language toward the victim.
This accusation follows a previous seven-count felony indictment stemming from a separate alleged incident involving a classmate in April.
“This would now mark the second time he has been charged with an offense of a sexual nature of a very serious kind which involves female victims,” McGillicuddy said.
The defense team for KJ Biermann has filed motions seeking to transfer the proceedings from the superior court system to the juvenile court. Moreover, this would change how the case is prosecuted and handled under state law.
