Micah Parsons certainly had his eyes on the prize this offseason.

Parsons was recently traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for two first-round picks and veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

Weeks before, he had taken to social media to demand a trade amid a fight for a new contract. While Parsons was initially reported to have requested a trade due to contract disputes with the Cowboys, his agent made it clear that his ultimate goal was to stay with the Cowboys.

Unfortunately and fortunately, it did not work out that way.

Before he got traded to the Packers, it turns out that Micah Parsons had his eyes on joining another Super Bowl contender.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that Parsons reportedly had an interest in joining the Ravens before being traded to the Packers.

“In our reporting, multiple team execs believed that Parsons was intrigued by several teams in the process, including the Ravens and Chiefs,” Fowler wrote. “This was moot — the Cowboys were focused on getting the best deal they could.”

New Green Bay Packers Micah Parsons will likely make his debut at Lambeau Field on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

Parsons has a joint sprain in his back that may necessitate an epidural injection in order to play this week.

The news came on the heels of him signing his new deal with the team.

The Green Bay Packers shocked the NFL world when they swung a trade for the star pass rusher, sending the Dallas Cowboys two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark for one of the best players in the world.

Parsons was listed as a limited participant on the Packers’ official injury report on Wednesday and Thursday. He says it’s up to the training staff and coaches to give him the “green light” for Sunday.

It looks like we will have to wait to close to game time to see if he will play.
