The NBA Playoffs officially began on Saturday, as 16 teams are vying for the chance to lift the Larry O’Brien trophy at the end of the year.
Those teams are all competing in the first round this weekend, and one team was joined by a special guest for their first game.
During Saturday’s Game 1 between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers, cameras spotted Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark enjoying the game in the crowd.
Clark even embraced some of her fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
It’s an all-Fever affair for Game 1 in Indianapolis, as the team’s new head coach Stephanie White is also on the call for the game with ESPN.
Clark has been a supporter of the Pacers since arriving in Indiana last year, forming a friendship with Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton and appearing at several games and team events.
“I’ve said it many times, Caitlin is amazing,” Haliburton said about Clark.
“For me, getting to spend time around her, be around her, get to know her personally, she’s an amazing person and an amazing player. She deals with a lot. There’s a lot of rhetoric behind her that she really has no control over, and I think the way she handles that is amazing.”
The Pacers star also praised Clark for her ability to deal with the fame and notoriety that she’s garnered through the early part of her professional career.
“When it comes to the game of basketball, she’s probably top five most famous people that are playing right now just, in general. That includes our league as well. She handles it with such grace,” Haliburton said about last season’s WNBA Rookie of the Year.

“I mean, she’s a superstar and really one of the first superstars that the W has had at that level, at the level she’s at. What she’s doing is amazing.”
The Pacers are looking to make another deep playoff run this season, after they made a surprise trip to the Eastern Conference Finals last year. The journey begins with the first-round matchup against Milwaukee.
The Pacers have shown that they have what it takes to make waves in the playoffs, and we’ll see if they can do it again in 2025.
