While the Eagles were losing at home to the 49ers, Erin Andrews’ fur coat went viral on the sidelines. Because of her, the coat from Auter sold out within 24 hours and is now available for preorder, according to Fox.

Fans fixated on the Fox Sports reporter’s dramatic black-and-cream garment. Andrews’ oversized coat quickly became nearly as newsworthy as the game itself.

She has since broken her silence about it. “It’s such a different look for me,” she shared during an interview with Glamour. “In the wind, I know it looked like a Beyoncé video.” The FOX JACKET from AUTER in the Smoke Noir color costs $950.

“It felt fabulous, it felt like a big event, it felt like a big wild card playoff game on FOX. It was the perfect time to wear this piece, and I’m so excited we did it,” Erin Andrews added.

Philadelphia was chilly and breezy for the wild-card game. “I knew when my stylist, Daniela Romero, suggested I wear it that it was outside the box and super fun — and I thought Philly was the best place to do it,” Andrews shared.

At one point, Andrews shared that she forgot she even had it on.

“I forgot I was even wearing it when I did my first hit with the NFL on FOX Pregame Show because I was so locked in. I was intro-ing Christian McCaffrey, and it’s the Wild Card, it’s a big deal.”

Although she didn’t expect the massive fan response, Andrews had a feeling that her look would be talked about on social media.

“Even in the airport on the way home, I got stopped by passengers who asked about the coat. When I was traveling to the game, I was holding the coat in my arms because I didn’t want to lose it, and a guy asked me when I got on the plane if it was alive. And I looked at him and said, ‘No, but it’s going to look damn good on camera.’ And now, just seeing the reaction, I’m still laughing about it,” she revealed.

The Maine native launched her fashion-forward sports apparel brand, WEAR by Erin Andrews, in 2019.
