Al Michaels exposed the NFL for trying to get him to correct something he said on air during ‘Thursday Night Football’ and replace it with a total lie.

Michaels has often been criticized by fans, who constantly call for him to retire. But ‘TNF’ viewers thought he was great this week, with some even claiming he was “in his bag.”

The veteran announcer needed to correct himself when he made an embarrassing mistake during the Eagles-Giants game two Thursdays ago. But this time around, he had it right, and the NFL still got mad at him.

Michaels was calling Thursday’s game alongside Kirk Herbstreit when he noted that Minnesota Vikings Kicker Will Reichard’s only miss of the season came when he hit a camera during a London game.

According to Michaels, that’s not the explanation the league is using, as they reprimanded him off-air.

“The league wants to take my lunch away because I said before that Reichard’s only miss came when he hit a wire in London,” he said. “The league says, ‘no, no it was an optical illusion.’ [That’s] not what Reichard thinks.”

Well, it doesn’t appear that Al Michaels was prepared to dish out the NFL’s version.
