Aaron Rodgers is headed to the Hall of Fame as soon as he officially hangs up his cleats.

Rodgers was released by the New York Jets in March, sending the 41-year-old to free agency for the first time in his career. It took a few months, but he eventually signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The signing of a one-year deal was intentional.

In July, Rodgers made it clear that he was done with the NFL. He told “The Pat McAfee Show” that he was “pretty sure” he would retire following the 2025 NFL season.

“That’s why we did a one-year deal,” Rodgers said.

Months later, and nothing has changed about his decision.

In Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Aaron Rodgers hit the wayback machine as he displayed the arm that fans have become accustomed to seeing throughout his career. His most notable pass was a 68-yard touchdown to Pat Freiermuth that nearly led to a comeback victory.

During the game, sportscasters Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit discussed more details of Rodgers’s ride off into the sunset.

“He said you won’t hear from me or see me for at least four years,” Herbstreit said.

Michaels responded, “I wouldn’t bet on that, but who knows.”

In 2023, Rodgers went on a four-night “darkness retreat” in Oregon to help him decide on his future in the NFL.

Sky Cave Retreats owner Scott Berman told ESPN at the time that Rodgers stayed in a 300-square-foot space devoid of light, featuring a queen bed, bathroom, and meditation mat on the floor.

He certainly knows how to get off the grid if he wants to disappear.

In the meantime, Rodgers’ quest for a second Super Bowl victory can best be described as elusive. Despite consistently being a top-tier quarterback, he has not been able to return to the big game since 2011.

He is now on a Steelers team that could give him the best chance in years of finally getting back on top of the NFL world and walking away on top.
