Curt Cignetti is finally happy.

Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers have made history. For the first time in program history, they’ve won a National Championship.

This was a massive and unprecedented turnaround. This school, usually known by its basketball program, turned to Coach Cignetti, a not-so-known name at the time, hoping for a miracle. However, not even the most optimistic fan thought this would happen overnight.

That’s why, now that the Hoosiers have gone the distance and the Cignettis have become world famous, his daughter Natalie wasn’t safe from internet detectives.

An old tweet from 2019 resurfaced after the championship game. Apparently, it’s not easy to make her father happy:

“Wins first D1 playoff game. Scores 66 points. Improves to 12-1and… Curt Cignetti, everybody,” the daughter wrote while sharing a screenshot of their conversation. “Are you happy!!!” she asked. “No,” he replied, bluntly.

Considering that, Natalie went viral again. She updated the post by sharing a new conversation with her old man. This time, she finally got the response she was hoping for:

“This tweet of mine from 2019 re surfaced randomly. Everyone is wondering if you’re happy now lol. So… are you happy?” she asked. “Yes!!!!!!!” the coach replied.

Besides his prowess as a tactician and head coach, Cignetti became popular for his temper and stone-cold demeanor.

Just like Bill Belichick, you never see him smiling on the sidelines, regardless of how much his team is dominating. However, when asked about that, he admitted that it was all because of his job:

“If I’m going to ask my players to play the first game, first play to play [No.] 150 the same, regardless of competitive circumstances, then I can’t be seen on the sideline high-fiving people and celebrating, or what’s going to happen, right? What’s the effect going to be?” the coach said, per Fox News. “So that’s why I am like I am during game. … I do smile, and I am happy, at times.”

Cignetti also likes to celebrate like everybody else. He just does it behind closed doors:

“I’ll smile and celebrate later in the coaches room with the coaches, you know, maybe have a beer,” the coach added.

Multiple NFL teams could make a run at Cignetti, although they would have to pay a high price to buy him out. Whatever the case, he’s probably just going to lie down and smell the flowers, now that he’s finally happy.

Luka Doncic ‘destroys’ the Mavs on his return. Gets standing ovation and shows love to Mark Cuban

Luka Doncic hits 45 points in his first game in Dallas since being traded to the Los Angeles.

It’s rare for a home crowd to cheer the visiting team, but Luka Doncic’s return to Dallas was no ordinary night.

Just days before February’s trade deadline, the Mavericks shocked the NBA by sending their 26-year-old superstar to the Lakers—a move that outraged fans and sparked backlash toward GM Nico Harrison.

On Wednesday, Doncic played his first game back in Dallas since the trade. The arena was filled with fans in both his old Mavs and new Lakers jerseys, many chanting “Fire Nico” in protest.

Despite the emotion in the air, Doncic delivered a dominant performance, scoring a game-high 45 points to lead the Lakers to a 112-97 win. It was a powerful return for one of the league’s brightest stars—and a night Dallas won’t soon forget

Every seat in the arena was draped with a T-shirt reading “Hvala za vse,” which translates from Slovenian to “thank you for everything.” It was a thoughtful nod to Doncic’s heritage and impact on the franchise.

Before tip-off, during the starting lineup announcements, the Mavericks played a tribute video showcasing some of Doncic’s most iconic moments in a Dallas jersey. The emotional gesture clearly resonated—moving Doncic to tears in front of the crowd that once called him their own.
