Brennon Lemieux and Alexa Lemieux were not blind to each other’s flaws.

The Love Is Blind stars—who got married in 2021 while filming season three—announced their separation on Dec. 3 after four years together.

Alexa—who shares daughter Vienna, 16 months, with Brennon—broke the news on Instagram, writing that “this choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared.”

While Brennon has not yet spoken out on social media, he did share insight into the reason behind their split when he filed for divorce last month.

The 35-year-old said that their marriage had “become insupportable” due to “conflict of personalities” that don’t allow for any “reasonable expectation of reconciliation,” per court documents obtained by Us Weekly Dec. 3.

He also requested the court award him any assets he had prior to their marriage.

For Alexa, she asked the public for privacy as they navigate their breakup.

“After much reflection and many heartfelt conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” Alexa shared on Instagram Dec. 3. “We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way.”

She emphasized that they will continue to focus on their daughter, adding, “While our journey as a married couple is coming to an end, we remain supportive of one another, devoted to our daughter, and committed to navigating this transition with compassion.”

Indeed, Alexa has been soaking up plenty of time with Vienna during this new chapter. Just one day before sharing news of the separation, she posted a photo dump of November pics that included a family photo with Brennon and Vienna visiting Santa. However, other snaps centered on her one-on-one time with her mini-me: cuddling her toddler, celebrating Halloween together, wearing matching Christmas hats and visiting the Dallas Farmers Market.

Their mother-daughter adventures also took them to Hawaii last month, when Alexa and Vienna headed to O’ahu for a vacation with her family—though Brennon wasn’t included in any of the photos.

“This was one of the most special trips,” Alexa wrote on Instagram Nov. 20. “I’m so lucky that Vienna has the most incredible grandma that always goes above and beyond. There’s nothing like seeing the love family has for your baby. Can’t wait for the next girly trip.”
