Diane Keaton, the Hollywood legend known for her roles in romantic comedies like Annie Hall and Father of the Bride, confessed that she hadn’t been on a date in 35 years and was “never” the object of male attention.

The famous actress tragically di3d aged 79, with her cause of d3ath unknown at the moment. Despite her illustrious career in films filled with romance, it appeared that her personal life lacked the same spark.

The late actress, who was never married, last went on a date in her early 40s. However, she disclosed that she had “a lot of male friends”.

In a resurfaced interview, when asked if men “ask her out”, Diane responded: “Never. All right? Let’s just get that straight. That one’s important.”

With a laugh, she added: “I haven’t been on a date in, I would say, 35 years. No dates.”

Speaking to InStyle magazine, she said, “I have a lot of male friends. I have a lot of friends, but no dates. No mwah-mwah.”

Despite the absence of romantic attention in her later years, Diane has previously dated several A-list celebrities.

In 1969, she began dating Woody Allen, and they briefly cohabitated during the production of a film. However, by the time the film was released in 1972, their living arrangement had become informal.

It was Diane’s sense of humor that attracted the film director, and she has stated that he remains one of her closest friends.

She also had an intermittent relationship with her Godfather co-star Al Pacino, which concluded after they finished filming The Godfather Part III.

In a 2004 interview with Barbara Walters, she gushed: “Al was simply the most entertaining man. To me, that’s, that is the most beautiful face.

“I think Warren [Beatty] was gorgeous, very pretty, but Al’s face is like whoa. Killer, killer face.”

Diane and Warren Beatty were an item in 1979 when they both starred in Reds.

Their romance was the talk of the town, but it fizzled out shortly after the filming for Reds concluded.

Production issues, including financial and scheduling hiccups, are believed to have strained their relationship, but Diane remains friendly with the actor.

Following the d3ath of her father, Diane made the choice to adopt two children when she was 50.

She welcomed her daughter, Dexter in 1996 and her son, Duke in 2001.

Later, reflecting on motherhood, she said it had been “the most completely humbling experience that I’ve ever had.”
