Sophie Cunningham has genuinely made it.

She was in the league well before Caitlin Clark was even mentioned, but it wasn’t until this past game that she really started to garner an obscene amount of attention.

Caitlin Clark was involved in multiple incidents during the game, which included one in the third quarter that saw the Fever star get shoved to the ground right after she was hit in the eye.

Cunningham was dead set on leaving her mark on Tuesday night’s game between the Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun, pulling Jacy Sheldon to the ground during the final minute of regulation and then grabbing her hair.

Cunningham was ejected in the game’s final minute after her hard foul on Connecticut’s Jacy Sheldon was upgraded to a flagrant 2. It was a response to Sheldon’s flagrant 1 foul on Fever star Caitlin Clark.

Fast forward to Thursday night, and Sophie Cunningham is getting set to make her return to the court.

The team will be taking on the Golden State Valkyries on the road.

Cunningham is going viral over an outfit she wore while walking in the arena before a game.

She was wearing stunning black heels, tiny shorts, and a gray jacket over her top, with her legs on full display. She also had black sunglasses.

Since Clark’s return from her quad injury, the Fever have strung together back-to-back, double-digit victories, getting over. 500 for the first time since late May.

Sophie Cunningham Avoids Suspension

The Indiana Fever punched their ticket to the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup title game with an 88-71 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night.

They are extremely lucky to still have Cunningham in the lineup.

Sophie Cunningham delivered a hard foul on Sheldon during a breakaway layup attempt. She then grabbed her hair and talked crap to her opponent. Cunningham, Sheldon, and Sun forward Lindsay Allen were ejected for fighting.

On Wednesday, the WNBA announced that Cunningham would be fined under the league’s rule for a flagrant 2 foul. However, no suspension will be imposed.
