The allegations are pretty graphic, with one Gabriella Zuniga accusing Sharpe of forcing himself on her on multiple occasions after she got into a consensual relationship with him, then tried to break things off.

Zuniga’s lawsuit also makes mention of another suit filed against Sharpe by a former girlfriend, Michele Bundy Evans, who is said to have sued him in 2023, claiming she was rped 13 years prior after a 10-year relationship with the erstwhile tight end.

Sharpe’s legal team has put out another statement in which they knock back Evans’ claims, also disclosing that she remains on probation after spending three years in prison for trying to kill her husband so she could be with Sharpe.

“The fact is that Shannon has had no contact with this person for many years and it is our understanding that she is still on probation after serving 3 years in prison for trying to kill her husband so that she could hopefully pursue a relationship with Shannon,” the statement reads.

Sharpe’s representatives add that it shouldn’t be a surprise to see even more allegations surface following Zuniga’s claims, stating that “when someone famous is in the news, all sorts of people crawl out of the woodwork to share their connection to that person in an attempt to profit from that alleged relationship.”

The statement concludes by noting that Shannon Sharpe was not let go by ESPN but chose to step away so he could focus on fighting the “frivolous” claim. He plans to return for the 2025 NFL season.

The Indiana Fever made a franchise-altering decision last season when they selected Iowa guard Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft. The budding star turned the team around, helping them to the playoffs for the first time in nearly 10 years.

As a result of their success, several high-end free agents wanted to team up with Clark and her teammates. Now, equipped with a complete starting lineup and a solid amount of depth, the Fever are one of the frontrunners for the WNBA Finals.

But before their season officially begins on May 17, they’ll have a trio of preseason contests to play. While two of them are run-of-the-mill exhibition games, one of them is another testament to just how impactful Clark has been during her one year in the league.
