Dancing with the Stars released its latest season on September 16, 2025. This season, which serves as the show’s twentieth anniversary, is set to air live on both ABC and Disney+.

This also means a whole new list of stars joining the show. During this time, one contestant recently took to Instagram to share that their family recently said goodbye to a loved one.

Entrepreneur and yoga instructor Hilaria Baldwin, the spouse of Alec Baldwin, recently shared that the family lost their beloved dog, Dama. In the recent post, Hilaria wrote, “Rest in peace, sweet Dama.”

“You brought so much joy to our lives…you were that dog that slept on my pregnant belly. Your life was long and happy. I know you are running through fields and eating all the cookies you want. We are sad but grateful that we had you in our lives.”

The carousel post featured various photos of Dama with the family. In the first, the family’s furry friend could be seen with Alec. Other photos showed Dama being held by Hilaria.

This comes out as Hilaria is competing on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. She is paired with professional dancer, Gleb Savchenko.

Speaking with Us Weekly, The Baldwins star recently talked about getting support while appearing on the show. At the time, she shared that she always has someone on her side right around the corner: “One of my friends came out here.”

Hilaria also shared that her husband was also making sure to meet up with her. She shared, “Alec is doing a movie somewhere, so he’s coming and going, and I have a great community here.”

Notably, Peta shared a comment on Hilaria’s recent post. As it read, “We were so very sad to hear about Dama’s passing. Sending love and condolences to your whole family.”
