Bravo is facing another lawsuit. The network has been under fire for years about the treatment of its stars, known by fans as “Bravolebrities.” This time, a Real Housewives star is taking legal action over “fake drama.” Keep reading to find out what they’re claiming.

Notable Current & Former Lawsuits Against Bravo

Many former Bravo stars have spoken out against their time working with the network. A few have gone a step further and sought legal action. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes was among the first to sue the network.

She filed a lawsuit in 2022, alleging racial discrimination. She was on the popular show from Seasons 1 through 7, then from Seasons 10 through 12. She left the show in 2020. NeNe Leakes withdrew the lawsuit the same year it was filed.

Bravo fans were not happy when Leah McSweeney joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City. She was on the show for just two seasons before Bravo fired the entire cast after Season 13. The reboot was a failure, and Bravo is reportedly looking to bring in new cast members.

According to Variety, Leah McSweeney sued over an alleged hostile work environment. The lawsuit is ongoing.

RHONJ alum Caroline Manzo sued the network for sexual harassment over what happened during filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. She claims that her co-star, Brandi Glanville, touched her inappropriately.

Real Housewives Star Sues Network For $11 Million, Citing Fake Drama

Bravo yet again finds itself facing legal action. A lawsuit was filed in Miami, Florida, this week against the network that claims the show faked the star’s financial troubles for a storyline.

The Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Nepola divorced her husband, Todd Nepola, earlier this year. Now he’s suing Bravo for the way the network portrayed his finances. According to The Wrap, the real estate mogul claims his reputation was damaged by how he was portrayed on the show.

“‘RHOM’ has continued to intentionally and maliciously air defamatory statements about Nepola, misuse his name, likeness and damage his reputation in the Miami business community,” the lawsuit says.

The suit also accuses the show of feeding viewers “counterfeit drama” to keep them watching.

Todd Nepola sued Bravo Media, NBCUniversal Media and Purveyors of Pop Productions for $11 million in damages. He also requested an injunction against the network to prevent “unauthorized use of Nepola’s name or likeness.”

The former reality TV star claims Bravo used his name and images during Seasons 6 and 7 without permission.

“Mr. Nepola wanted to be Alexia’s husband, not her storyline. For too long and out of respect for his ex-wife, Mr. Nepola remained silent while Defendants painted a fictional version of him,” the lawsuit says.

Alexia Nepola has yet to respond to her ex-husband suing Bravo. Season 7 of RHOM is wrapping up this week with a three-part reunion special. Part one already aired. Thursday, October 9, 2025, and Part 3 will air on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
