Troy Aikman is one of the more polarizing NFL broadcasters, but he provided a nice chuckle for fans during the Detroit Lions-Baltimore Ravens “Monday Night Football” game.

The 58-year-old Troy Aikman and Joe Buck began their fourth season on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” broadcast two weeks ago, when they called the Chicago Bears-Minnesota Vikings game.

Monday’s tilt between two NFL heavyweights lived up to the hype, alright.

The two clubs combined for 68 points and 744 yards of offense, per ESPN, with the Lions coming out on top 38-30. And it was Troy Aikman’s priceless call on the game’s most important play that sent social media into a frenzy.

Leading 31-24 with 1:56 left, Lions head coach Dan Campbell told the offense to go for it on 4th-and-2 at their own 49-yard line. Before the play, Aikman said that Detroit’s gutsy coach has “big onions.”

And big onions paid off, alright:
