She’s addressed the widespread claims.

Skater Amber Glenn has opened up after rumors claiming she’s in a relationship with Olympic teammate Alysa Liu.

Amber and Alysa share a close friendship and partnered to help the USA win gold at the team event during the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina earlier this year.

Glenn, 26, has come out as pansexual, an admission which has helped propel rumors of a romantic relationship with Liu.

She recently shared a video of the two of them at the Olympic Stars on Ice tour. The clip showed them wearing matching pink costumes as they held hands and threw their heads back while spinning together.

Fans immediately began speculating, questioning whether they were more than friends.

The chatter resulted in Glenn offering a reply. She noted that she’s known Liu for 10 years and they are like sisters.

She then shared a photo of herself and Liu together when they were kids.

“GUYS ALYSA IS LIKE A LITTLE SISTER TO ME! I’VE KNOWN HER SINCE SHE WAS 10 AND I WAS 16,” she wrote.

As mentioned above, Glenn identifies as pansexual. She became the first openly queer woman to compete for the U.S. when she suited up for the Olympics this year.

The 26-year-old said she would take a break from social media after receiving backlash for speaking out against Donald Trump’s treatment of the LGBTQ+ community ahead of the games in Milan-Cortina.

“It wasn’t easy,” she said. “There’s been a bombardment of attacks and hate on me, using my lackluster performance as fuel for hate, and that was disheartening.”

She told reporters the community had been having a hard time under the administration and that she would use her platform to “try and encourage people to stay strong.”

However, she later revealed that she had decided to stay off social media due to widespread criticism.
