NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has fired a warning over to Robert Griffin III, asking the former NFL quarterback to lay off Angel Reese.

RGIII recently doubled down on claims that Reese hates Caitlin Clark, tweeting he received confirmation from people within Reese’s “inner circle” after previously triggering certain people with his take on the hard foul Clark left on her during their first meeting of the WNBA season.

Shaq has threatened to punch Griffin in the face if he doesn’t stop targeting the Chicago Sky forward, whom he’s been a mentor to and is a huge fan of.

“RGIII, tweet another monkey post about my girl Angel Reese and I’m gonna punch you in your f***ing face,” Shaq declared during an interview on the ‘Off The Record’ podcast. “Just stop it, bro. You got your job, you got your podcast. Leave Angel Reese alone.”

Shaquille O’Neal recruited Angel to Reebok and has supported her since her time at LSU. He has made it clear that he’s going to be her protector moving forward, also letting RGIII know he’s been the one holding her back from coming at him herself.

“She’s not soft. She’s from the streets. But I tell her, ‘You’re beautiful. Don’t indulge with these fools,” he continued.

Shaq also called out Griffin’s career, both in the NFL and in the media, suggesting RGIII has not been that great as an athlete or analyst.

“It’s a shame that all the stuff you did in your life, you’re going to be remembered for your podcast. That should tell you you’re not that f***ing great,” he said.

The former quarterback hasn’t responded to Shaq directly but posted a tweet with his followers reading: “Trust God’s plan for your life. You don’t have to understand the path to walk it. Keep the faith and keep going.”

It will be interesting to see where this goes.
