Ezra Sosa is putting to bed the claims about his partner Jordan Chiles.

For Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars, the pro dancer, 24, has been paired with the Olympic gold medalist.

Despite bringing impressive performances to the iconic dance floor, Jordan has faced immense criticism from judges, who “lowballed” her during Week 1, and viewers, who have been claiming she is a “mean girl.” Her partner is now rushing to defend her.

On Friday, Oct. 10, Ezra took to Instagram to say the rumors “couldn’t be further from the truth.”

He began by addressing the speculation surrounding Jordan’s recent on-screen appearances, where some felt she came across a certain way.

Ezra pointed out a moment when the gymnast appeared to walk off stage, explaining, “They told Jordan that she needed to move immediately after scores because then they needed to announce [the] tour.”

The dancer admitted he didn’t think that was a good move on production’s part considering “she’s gonna take direction and she’s gonna leave the shot.”

Also mentioning their celebration from being saved from elimination, he said, “The second one is how I picked her up during elimination and she jokingly said, ‘OK, you can put me down now.’”

Ezra described their dynamic similar to one of a “brother and sister” so when that had happened, he “didn’t think much of it.”

“I thought it was hysterical,” he confessed.

“You can talk your negative stuff about me, and I can handle it like a champ,” the dancer continued. “But when it comes to my partner, I’m gonna feel a certain way about it.”

Ezra revealed what hurts him the most about the rumors is truly “knowing the person she is” and hearing otherwise.

“It just breaks my heart because that’s not my experience with her at all.”

The dancer went onto gushing over his “remarkable” partner and their “special” bond, saying, “I am so, so grateful that she came into my life.”

He concluded, “We’re allowed to be our own individual selves, and sometimes our dynamic may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it is certainly mine and we’re on this journey together.”

On the leaderboard last week, Ezra and Jordan came in second just behind Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas.

Along with Jordan, Alix Earle, Dylan Efron and Jen Affleck are amongst the season’s contestants who are still in the running for the Mirrorball Trophy.

The last person to get eliminated on the show was pro dancer Gleb Savchenko and Hilaria Baldwin.
