Many celebrities who join DWTS leave the show without the Mirrorball Trophy. However, they leave with injuries that can last weeks or months after their last dance. Danielle Fishel was advised to leave the competition earlier this season after a deeply bruised leg. She stayed in the competition. Now another contestant was injured during rehearsals. Keep reading to find out whether they’ll push through and stay in the competition or not.

DWTS Star Suffers Major Injury During Rehearsals

Dylan Efron joined Season 34 of DWTS fresh off his win on Season 3 of Traitors. He shared the win on the Peacock reality show with Bachelorette star Gabby Windey, Real Housewives star Dolores Catania, and Lord Ivar Mountbatten. While they split the prize money on Traitors, only one couple can go home with the Mirrorball Trophy on DWTS.

The younger brother of movie star Zac Efron hopes it’s him. His partner, Daniella Karagach, won Season 30 with NBA player Iman Shumpert. But Dylan Efron’s recent injury might put his chances at risk.

After he was barely saved from elimination on Wicked Night, Dylan Efron opened up to Parade magazine about his health. He said that he “threw my neck out” a few days earlier during rehearsals in the Los Angeles, California, studios where DWTS films.

“It’s not good for learning spins,” he said. After a few Epsom salt baths, he said the injury was feeling better. But an injury like that doesn’t just go away. At this point, he isn’t ready to drop out of the competition. He might not even have to. Viewers could send him home next week. He almost went home on Wicked Night.

His Reaction To Near Elimination On Wicked Night

The remaining Season 34 contestants had an emotional night of dedication dances last week. Due to the emotional toll, the show didn’t send anyone home that night. But that meant at least one couple had to go home this week.

Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach were in the bottom three along with Scott Hoying and Rylee Arnold. Andy Richter and Emma Slater were the third couple at the bottom. Despite having a higher score than Andy and Emma, Scott and Rylee went home.

Entertainment Tonight caught up with Dylan and Daniella after the shocking elimination. He said that he doesn’t want to go home yet because he’s having so much fun. They both agreed that they need to up their game to stay in the competition. Daniella said it was difficult because they really have no idea how the votes are going.

Next week is Halloween Night. The details of the dances haven’t been revealed yet. But DWTS fans can expect to see a former pro return as a judge.
