Toronto Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage made history in Game 1 of the World Series, becoming the second-youngest Game 1 starter in history at just 22 years and 88 days old. Off the field, his girlfriend, Taylor Frick, was right there with him. She was over the moon when Trey’s name was announced as the starter and even attended the game live.

On Sunday, Taylor shared a series of photos on Instagram from her trip to Rogers Center. “Lived a lot of lives in 48 hrs,” she captioned the post.

Trey Yesavage didn’t take long to respond. The smitten rookie pitcher dropped a three-word comment under her post – “Drop dead GORGEOUS 😍😍😍”

It wasn’t just the off-field moment that had fans talking. Trey Yesavage’s debut performance was a glimpse of what the Blue Jays hope will be a long and successful career. The 22-year-old tossed four innings, giving up two runs on four hits while striking out five in Game 1. Though Toronto cruised to an 11-4 win, fans were impressed by how he kept Dodgers’ superstars, including Freddie Freeman, Shohei Ohtani, and Mookie Betts, in check.

His strong outing capped off what has been an incredible rookie season. Since making his debut in September, Trey Yesavage has posted a 3.21 ERA and proven himself as one of the most reliable young arms in the Blue Jays’ rotation. The 22-year-old set a postseason record in the ALDS when he struck out 11 batters in helping Toronto take a 2-0 lead over the New York Yankees.

Meanwhile, Trey Yesavage and Frick, who made their relationship public back in December 2023, have quickly become one of baseball’s most talked-about young couples. As the World Series continues, fans will be watching both his performances on the mound and their adorable off-field moments.
