Danica Patrick.

Danica Patrick’s presence drew strong reactions from fans…

Sky Sports’ decision on Danica Patrick’s future as a member of the Formula 1 broadcast team sparked plenty of reactions. The former IndyCar and NASCAR driver joined the team in 2021, three years after she retired from motorsports.

As soon as she joined the team, Patrick became a controversial figure. She often had strong opinions that rubbed people the wrong way, and her political beliefs also clashed with fans’ more often than not.

On Wednesday, Sky Sports confirmed that Patrick wouldn’t join them in the 2026 Formula 1 season, which will start on Thursday night with the free practice 1 at Albert Park, where the Australian Grand Prix will happen this year.

David Croft remained as lead commentator, with Simon Lazenby, Natalie Pinkham, Ted Kravitz, Rachel Brookes and Craig Slater joining him as presenters and reporters.

The experts and analysts lineup will feature Martin Brundle, Jenson Button, Nico Rosberg, Jacques Villeneuve, Naomi Schiff, Bernie Collins, Karun Chandhok, Jamie Chadwick and Anthony Davidson.

Many fans reacted to the news on social media, celebrating the decision while criticizing Patrick’s analysis during her six-year tenure with the network.

“I’m sure her MAGA bonafides will serve her new Podcast well. The less I see her face, the gladder I am,” one fan said.

“Seriously, the mindless bimbo won nothing while racing and is best known for being dumped by the playoff choking anti-vax drama seeker,” another fan said.

“She wasn’t an analyst but a spectator with a mic who doesn’t understand F1,” a third fan said.

“LITERALLY every bit of analysis she gave was terrible. She called Marina Bay an ‘easy track’ and Rosberg would just cringe and say ‘what the hell are you talking about,’” a fourth fan said.

“She’s terrible. No business in F1. Just like her NASCAR career, she’s 100% a diversity hire because she’s (was) attractive,” a fifth fan said.

“Wow she crashed as an analyst too,” a sixth fan added.

Patrick didn’t make many fans during her time with Sky Sports. She only appeared in the American races and the Canadian Grand Prix, but fans didn’t enjoy a bit of her work.

NFL sideline reporter Melanie Collins is turning heads this week—not for her game-day coverage, but for her impressive fitness routine. As the 2025 NFL season approaches, Collins is already in peak shape, and she’s not shy about sharing her journey with fans.

Collins, who has been with CBS Sports since 2018, recently posted a workout video on Instagram that quickly went viral. The clip features her at The Tox in Nashville, where she took on the intense 60-minute Master Tox class. Dressed in a stylish all-blue fitness outfit, Collins powered through the session, showing off her dedication and athleticism.

“The 60-minute Master Tox treatment will rid your body of inflammation, leave your skin glowing and your muscles toned! Final result at the end,” she wrote in her caption, giving followers a glimpse into her health and wellness routine.

Fans were quick to react, flooding the comments section with praise, admiration, and a bit of envy. Many noted how Collins seemed to effortlessly combine her busy career with a commitment to fitness, inspiring others to step up their own routines.

Collins’ workout clip comes at a time when NFL personalities are increasingly sharing more of their personal lives and wellness journeys with fans. Her transparency and positive energy have made her a favorite among viewers, both on and off the field.

With the NFL season just a month away, Collins is clearly ready for the long days and high-energy coverage ahead. If her workout routine is any indication, she’ll be bringing the same intensity and glow to the sidelines this fall.

It’s been a long time since she’s been on NFL sidelines, working alongside play-by-play voice Kevin Harlan and analyst Trent Green. Before that, she cut her teeth covering college football and basketball on CBS Sports Network. She’s also spent time on ESPN, filling in for SportsNation and First Take.

But Collins isn’t just a familiar face on Sundays. Her resume includes the Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World Series, you name it. She was also the face of Yahoo! Sports and hosted a few shows on the Golf Channel along the way.

This September, she’s set to open the season on the West Coast, covering the Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Rams matchup. In Week 2, she’ll be reporting from the sidelines again, this time for the Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts game.

Collins knows how to get more attention each season. As she’s ready, fit, focused, and already trending, it seems that it will be a bit easier for her this time.
