How Was Violeta Verano In College

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s guard Violeta Verano (24) dribbles the ball against Texas Tech in a basketball game, Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at United Supermarkets Arena.
In 2019, Violeta Verano signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bradley. She became the first player in program history from Spain and just the fifth international player for the Braves.

Before then, the guard played for the National Catalonia team in the Spain national games, helping her squads to titles in four of five years.

Verano Fores was part of the U17 squad that placed sixth at the World Cup championship.

During the 2019-2020 season, Verano played in 17 games and played only 8 minutes per game. She averaged just 1.2 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per contest. It was a rough year as she shot only 17% from the floor.

The following season, she would increase her shooting percentage to 36%, but only averaged 0.8 points on seven minutes a game.

With not getting the minutes she wanted, Violeta Verano transferred to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and saw her numbers explode.

During the 2021-2022 season, she started all 29 games and averaged 29 minutes a contest, scoring 8 points per game. She also grabbed at least three rebounds a contest and dished out 4.8 assists.
