Tom, 79, sat down for an interview with CBS Sunday Morning on May 5.

During that interview, he talked about Blue Bloods ending after 14 seasons.

He played Frank Reagan, the New York Police Commissioner, and patriarch of the Reagan family, on every season.

Being the lead star of the drama series meant Tom had no worries when it came to a paycheck.

However, now that his most consistent job is ending, he is worried that he might lose his California ranch.

Tom and the Sunday Morning reporter stopped at his ranch, which used to be an avocado farm, where he expressed his concern.

“Hopefully I’ll keep working enough to hold on to the place,” Tom said.

“Seriously? That’s an issue if you stopped working?” the shocked reporter asked.

“It’s always an issue if I stop working. Yeah,” Tom replied.

Tom said that he was set for life, but maybe not on a 63-acre ranch.

The actor said that he hopes to continue working after the drama ends.

“As an actor, you never lose – I don’t lose, anyway – that sense that every time I finish a job, it’s my last job,” he said.

In the interview, the reporter said that when Tom isn’t working, he spends most of his time on the Ventura County ranch.

Tom bought the 63-acres in 1988 after leaving Magnum P.I.

The Blue Bloods star opened up about living on the ranch in 2010.

“My relationships and my ranch keep me sane,” he told People.

He lives there with his wife of 33 years, Jillie.

The ranch was an active avocado farm until the plants were killed by a drought.

It is home to over 1,500 native trees.

“I do grunt work and I make the rounds. I like watching things grow. It’s a retreat,” Tom told the outlet.

Because he is at risk of losing his ranch, Tom begged CBS to “come to their senses” and renew with Blue Bloods.

During the same interview, he was asked if the drama will continue on with Season 15.

Tom said that that was a good question.

“I will continue to think that CBS will come to their senses,” he said.

The actor said that Blue Bloods is the third highest show in broadcast TV and they are “winning the night.”

Tom also told the reporter that all of the cast wants to come back.

“I can tell you this: We aren’t sliding off a cliff; we’re doing good shows,” he said.

“And still holding our place. So I dunno. You tell me.”

Season 14 will air its mid-season finale on May 10.

The second half of the last season will air sometime in the fall and have eight episodes in total.
